Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of amplification techniques in the process of translating Surah Al-Bayyinah into Indonesian. The amplification technique is a translation strategy carried out by adding additional information or context to clarify the implied or hidden meaning in the source text. Given the characteristics of the Arabic language of the Qur'an which is very dense in meaning, rich in theological terms and historical context, this technique is one of the important approaches in maintaining the integrity of the divine message when translated. The research method used is qualitative with a literature study type. Data were collected from various versions of the Indonesian translation of the Qur'an and authoritative interpretation literature. The analysis was carried out per verse with a focus on identifying the amplification techniques used, the types of additions made, and the communicative function of the amplification. The results of the study show that the amplification technique is widely used in the translation of Surah Al-Bayyinah, especially to clarify theological concepts (tawhid, prophecy, eschatology) and strengthen the connection between verses. This finding confirms that amplification carried out proportionally and based on valid interpretation can improve the quality of readers' understanding of the message of the Qur'an. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more contextual and communicative studies of Al-Qur'an translation.
